Paediatricians as child sub-specialists. They treat a wide range of illnesses, injuries and conditions, particularly they often examine and treat babies immediately after birth.

A paediatrician provides not only medical care for children who are acutely or chronically ill, but also preventive health services for healthy children. They manage the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of a child under their care at every stage of development, in both sickness and health.
